Liverpool playmaker Philippe
Coutinho seems as though he’s had his head turned by growing transfer
interest from Barcelona, according to Reds legend John Barnes.
The
Brazil international has reportedly agreed terms on a move to the Nou
Camp, though Liverpool’s big demands for the player are currently holding up
the move.Still, Barnes believes it is already
visible that Coutinho has been
distracted by the whole affair and has spoken about the job Jurgen Klopp faces
to replace him.
The
former England man was concerned that the 25-year-old didn’t celebrate a
stunning strike against Leicester City in a recent friendly, as he sees that as
evidence that something isn’t right with him.
‘You
could tell by the way he reacted after he scored, with no celebration or
anything, that something isn’t quite right with Philippe at Liverpool,’ .
ARSENAL have been knocked back in an audacious attempt to
sign Gareth Bale this summer.
The Real Madrid star was seen as the perfect replacement for
Alexis Sanchez who is refusing to sign a new deal at the Emirates.
Spanish outlet Don Balon claim the Gunners were
determined to sign Bale this summer.
But the Wales international has no intention of leaving the
Bernabeu for Arsenal although he is keen on a Premier League return.
Bale is said to have snubbed Arsene Wenger because his side
will not be playing Champions League football this season.
The winger is concerned about his future at Real with the
emergence of Marco Asensio and the expected arrival of Kylian Mbappe.
But Bale has made his mind up and will not be heading
to Arsenal this summer.
